After a clear full brief via the agency, we planned the logistics to cover a 3-day window to shoot the main characters and other aspects of the brief, in a limited window. The location was in Six Senses Douro Valley Hotel in Portugal, and we needed to be respectful of guests who were at the hotel and shoot the main personnel in limited time windows in main areas at pre-planned quiet times of the day. This needed to be considered in setup and equipment lighting rigs. We took on the production planning of the setups consistant with the brief, booking flights, cars, equipment, carnet, etc. From the airport and a couple of hours drive we went straight into shooting and recceing. Meeting agency people on the ground a busy couple of days was spent in a very beautiful and glamorous spot. My self and my assistant Joe were shooting right up to the last minute before driving off to the airport followed by a less glam week of retouching.
